Brant huntin' with my boy Cooper
« on: December 13, 2015, 11:52:28 PM »
Although I duck hunt every chance I get, it's been tough for me to get out Brant hunting over the past few years. While I love duck hunting, Brant hunting is my favorite type of waterfowling here in Humboldt. I love carving my own birds and I finally got my boy Cooper out there this weekend to hunt over them. Of all the waterfowling we do, I'd say it's his favorite too. When we start calling, he knows it fixin' to be go time. I don't know who shakes more, him or me. haha

The older I get, the better I was...

Lloyd,
I always enjoy looking at your brant decoys. They definitely fit the adage, less is more. ;D

Lloyd I put your brant at the top of my list of the best decoys I've seen. That's a great picture there, one of my favorite from this year.

I'm pretty sure that needs to go in the photo contest, unless of course you don't want a chance to win!  :D

I'll throw my name in the hat for the photo contest Dave.     I must have finally made the nice list this year Vince.  It was a lot of work I might add. My wife says I've made some pretty good improvements this year ;-)

I bootyume your side of the country had a marked increase in the brant population.  We are now working on a thirty day-one per day limit.
Nice stool, Lloyd!
so many carvers, so few decoy makers

Lloyd, Your boy looks like he's ready for action, and your decoys look like they are doing a good job also.
Nicely done, Jeff
