Vince, while I usually tend to agree that most things can be fixed with the proper time and attention, this was cut from scrap wood from work, so it'd be just as easy to cut another head. This is also going to be a Mandarin duck for a friend, so I don't want to be giving him something hacked up. I just won't be back to work till next week with the holiday and was hoping to get some work done on these heads this weekend.
We have prevented Darwin from doing his job for far too long.

Paisan, i gotta agree in part with you--Guess my making minis is repurposing, SO, Gordon, you might take that piece and reuse for something else. 
in the great scheme of things, using the chipper as a source of warmth later on is kind of repurposing???? :D
so many carvers, so few decoy makers
