What carvers decoys do you want. This isn't a wish list?I mean who wouldn't want a Pat Godin bird??? We all have different financial situations but if you could look out maybe 10 years who's birds do you think will be sitting on your shelf? So far I have  birds from Mark Costilow, Luke Costilow, Scott Russell, Mike F. and Mark Strucko. All people I have been fortunate to meet and hang out with at the show and have been blessed to hunt with some of them too.

Gary Hanson
Willy McDonald
Rob JamesBob
Bob Nelson
Walter Gaskill
Jason Russell
Cale Giddens
Pete Revicki
Tom Rowe
Ben Heinemann

I know there are a few I have missed?but thats a start.

I collect birds based on memories and friendships.  I like for every bird to have a good memory of either hunting, fishing or just general friendship attached to it.  It makes that piece of work "come to life" so to speak for me personally.  Memories and friendships outweigh names for me.

Currently I have bird by

Jimmy Vizier
Jason Russell
Luke Costilow
Mark Costilow
Jim Romig
Willy McDonald
Rob James
Mike Frechette
Bill Kell
Bob Nelson
Edward Lindsey
Scott Klecka
Heck Rice

I know my list will change and people will be added as I meet guys and make new friendships...but here's what I would like have for now.  Looking forward to adding new people in the future.

Grayson Russell
Tom Rowe
Tom Modin
Andy Hildreth
Mark Schupp
Tom Matus
Cale Giddens
George Williams
Dave Speer
Joe Brewer

Honestly at this point I'd rather have a bird from most of the guys I know from this forum than anyone, and all the guys I had an opportunity to meet last year in Ohio and Virginia on my decoy trip.  I don't really want to make a list because as soon as I do I'm afraid I'll leave someone out!

All of those other carver's decoys look nice but I would much rather have decoys made by my friends. Those will be more special to me than from someone I don't know.

He's just trying to make you feel good.  That young man has a big heart and feels sorry for those less privileged than himself.  He pities you a little because you live in New York and talk funny. ;)
