Friday's "I don't feel like working thread"
« on: November 14, 2014, 10:41:32 AM »
I'm guessing I'm not the only one not in the mood to work today.

What does everyone got going this weekend?

I'm taking Will on a deer hunt in the morning and will be home in time to watch Bama vs MSU.  I also have plans to get some paint on the birds I carved last weekend and to cut out a couple more.  Painting and bandsaw work on Saturday will be dependent on how much Jack and Coke is required during the Bama game.  ???
I'm not a great carver but I play one on the internet.  :)

I must be doing it wrong, I don't paint sober.

Maybe that is my problem....  Actually more of a concern with the bandsaw  ???  that thing is risky enough without any pain killer.  I don't play around when it is running.  Almost got a finger working on a project last week, got lucky and noticed before it happened.  I was cutting a curve and just put my hand in the wrong spot on the wood.  Moved it and not a couple seconds later the wood jumped on me when the blade came out the backside of the cut faster than I expected.  I don't know if it would have resulted in my hand hitting the blade but still gave me that sick feeling of a disaster narrowly avoided.

I dont want to be at work either. Have had 4 migrating flocks fly over the house today and here I sit at the gym.  Then as I walk outside 12 geese flew over me low enough I could have hit them with a tennis ball. Is it my weekend yet?

It's opening weekend of gun season for deer here.  I have to work til 5am then I'm heading straight to the woods.  My plan is to mow the first 2 deer I see to the ground.  Once the freezer is full I'm going duck hunting.

I don't work for $$$$$$$ any longer. I'm tired and retired, no money but lots of time to hunt and fish. ;D This weekend Deer Gun Season, then scout for waterfowl. There are so many hunting seasons in now, plus steelhead and browns it mostly depends on how early I want to wake up and how far I want to drive. Mostly I stay close to home, as lots to do nearby.

No decoys or artwork till Deep Winter which can arrive at anytime... :(

My father landed brown that was 36 inches long and almost 17 lbs earlier today.
