George, this is likely a dumb question, but what in the world is a "Padiwan" ???

This month i have a pintail and two shore birds on the bench plus the hoodie i carved and still haven't painted. I'll post pics later.

Years ago, Tim Bombardier's, lovely wife, Karen, made me a jedi robe, which i occasionally wear to shows. just to bust balls--If you missed the STAR WARS Films, AND books, you kinda missed out on the whole padiwan thing--Jake is being mentored by the famous obi juan pierogi, thus he is my padiwan. Look at the last shots of Jake, where i allowed the wearing of the robe as a reward for finishing up his drakes--This time, unless he can regain the use of his inner force, the robe may not be a reward! We start painting his first hen teal tomorrow-He was given the task of going home over the weekend and hand sanding the body, which had a few problems--He had a lot of problmes getting refocused on the teal, and was quite frustrated--hell, so was i!!! :-X ::) :o

Mike....nice to see my name at the bottom of your posts that says "Andy tell's me to go gring some cork i'll feel better."

I feel like I finally have reached the big leagues in the carving world :D

Then again I thought I had reached the big leagues when I started hanging out with world renowned carver Scott Russell....but after his showing in Strongsville I may have to switch my allegiances ;D ;D ;D
