A famous quote from the movie "McClintock"

Big fight scene middle of the movie.

It's not supposed to be easy.  Thanks for following that one, Tom. :D
Andy, when you go back to black and white, with a serial and the newsreels before the movie, that stuff just sorta happens without thinking.  And you all thought it was just ADD kicking in!!!! ::)

Man, the paint on those IWCA hen puddlers is unreal.

Mike - do you have any other pics of the GE rollover?

Yes, that bird is so good, it is well worth stealin' the pattern! Like the gadwalls as well. Second better breast transition than the first one.
One question, though, so how does a hen shoveler have a dropped wing, yet still have its primaries crossed AND receive a ribbon?

That's a good question.   I looked at that bird  but I didn't see that.

Good example of how subjective judging can be.  That being said I don't remember the birds it beat at the species level....or it may have been the only shoveler entered... so even with that problem it still could easily have been the best in the species if the others had worse problems in the eyes of the judges.  Going my the fact that it only has a species ribbon on it that's as far as it went.....probably due to the problem with the primaries.

I love those hen gadwalls and the shoveler hen and that black duck. The feather detail is unreal in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing those Mike.
