Hi guys....I am new here....love to hunt.....I live in Minnesota and yesterday the temp dropped and the snow started to fly....big Northern Mallards in the Field.....one of my favotite ways to hunt.

jared you hunting the lake or inland? theres been some good numbers where i been , send me a pm and i will tell you where to go inland and its not to far from the city.

Great thread Rob. I'm looking forward to seeing yours and others picture this winter while I go into my closed season/winter depression. Here are a few of my bragging pics from this year. Duck season ends this coming Sunday. :'(

 I envy you southern guys that get to shoot colored out birds. These next two pics are all drake divers (except one hen greater scaup), just most are immature and not fully colored.



Its fairly common for us to shoot lesser and greater scaup in the same hunt

Yes it was.  The marsh hen was shot when it jumped on the way to get the hoodie.  The brant was killed skulling a canoe across a seaside bay.  Very high tide and fog rolled in right at shooting light.  The puddle ducks didnt even move that morning, but we made the best of it.

Awesome pictures guys! Unfortunately i wasn't as lucky down here in GA for the first split. These pictures just keep me motivated though!

Our season in NC has been real slow so far. Saturday night we got a cold front with a full moon which brought a few birds down. Here are monday and tuesdays hunts
