Rick, glad your Texoma pictures finally showed up for some reason they didn't load for me the other day.  Looks like you are doing it right on big red.

Thanks Dave. With Lake Texoma being so low this season having to switch areas has been interesting at least. Eagles, deer, and a new area to learn made it fun.
Have to admit though I was spoiled only having a 3 - 10 minute drive to areas I had normally hunted. Made it easier to get a hunt in after work in the morning ;D
Blessings,
Rick

My opening day shoot lasted about 45 minutes before I was chased off the lake by whitecaps, and being solo in a canoe, I decided 5 was enough and left before the wind really picked up too much

3 shots, 3 birds

This is my Dad and I (I'm in the cowboy hat) on probably the "best" day of last season.

The "trophy" of the day

Definitely my favorite kill this season. My son's first bird. A crusty little Gallianule.
This was last Friday. Hunted alone. Got 5 birds and a limit of speckled trout. Helluva day. 70 degrees had the fish bitin and the birds sitting.

My friend and I got limits of grays and Wigeon this day.

Hunted MS with some friends to get these.

One more weekend for MS season. Hope I have pics.

Haven't been as much as I wanted to this year and the weather hasn't been too swell either to bring the ducks down, but managed to have a great morning with my brother and friend. Put them right on the "X" in the swamp and pulled out a three man limit of woodies.

I applied for a swan permit this year, and was lucky enough to pull a permit on the first try. Well the swan were easy to find since they do the same thing every year and I was able to sneak down some ditches and get between flocks and picked one off while they were field hopping. Plan to attempt to mount this one, along with a buffleheads and hooded merganser.
